    Description
    For sale 1943 penny,
    I found it with a quantity of coins from a store that I closed from boullder,
    the bag marked as special.


    I have a hard time thinking that someone took a gamble on a raw 43D.
    The guy did send me a photo of the coin on a scale weighing to 3.11g

    Well, I guess it might be a bit of a stretch to imagine that the Alibaba folks would actually spring for a real bronze planchet... :rolleyes:

    ANACS is about an hour away, The guy could have added one to the pop reports, and probably made more money.

    I am actually hoping that we soon here about a new 43D copper found. But I don't know anymore on the issue.
    MM placement is an exact match to specimen on coin facts.
    The coin even has a real look to it, but to spend that much money on a raw often counterfeited coin puzzles me.

    Now that I am in a position to look at this more closely, this is obviously the classic steal-pictures-of-a-genuine-coin scam. The pictured specimen is exacly the same as the unique specimen featured on PCGS CoinFacts:
