43 walker please grade

    nothing that ever gets on coin talk goes for good. Peter has a state of the are backup process that he implemts and thank god for that its so good that it can also be used for disaster recovery in compnies :)

    One small problem with that spock - your scenario would only be valid if a backup of every individual day existed - it doesn't. So once an image is removed and a backup is completed of the data for the day that image was removed - that new backup replaces the old backup and the image is gone. Just like yours is now.

    well i was given to understand that there were partial backups withthe scenario youmentioned and then there were complete backups that were nevr overwritten coz if you overwrote them and a problem existed for several days then it would lead ot a lot of trouble and the forum would be hosed but perhaps Peter can enlighten me withthe process he is following now.
