40% Kennedy Halves

Do any of you guys collect (or stack) them?

Bank rolls also there boxes of coin holders and slips.
Tubes made for half dollar.

I been collecting a bunch of the 65-70 Halves lately I was just seeing if others did

 

there are a bunch of people searching rolls and I am sure they hoard them along with the 90% ones too.

I only buy what I can at face value, otherwise I avoid them like the plague. And yes I do find them in quantities sometimes, even dozens.

 

There selling on Ebay for more than I am purchasing them so i am happy

 

I sold all of my 90% & 40% rolls when silver went over $45oz.

I'm currently at 96 or 48fv

 

I talked to two Local Coin Shops about 90% and 40% "junk silver" (It's not junk to me!). They both said they were out of it and were looking for some to buy. Seen several adds on Craigslist wanting to buy these items too.

 

You held on thinking it would go higher, didn't ya.

If I recall, I had 3 rolls of 90% and 11 rolls of 40%. Roll searching in those days (early 2000's) produced some silver in every box.

I hate 40%.
I have some, though.

 

What is your reason or reasons for the hate?

 

Probably because the price of silver is so low right now.

Chris I look at that as a opportunity to get Silver lower, I hope it stays down until I can get a good bit built up

 

That may be, but it was soooooooooooo much sweeter getting it at face value and selling it at $45.
