Ok I have 4 dimes 3 with bad damage but night not be post idk tell me what you think....then 1 dame that's all copper if that's possible?
If the dime was missing the clad from both sides, it would be very thin, very light and look different than that, the three coins are damaged, and that darker one is from environmental toning/damage. You can see what the copper should like like from this partial missing clad:
no.. That's environmental toning. Missing clad layer usually occurs just on one side of a clad coin. Example from my collection Also.. If it were struck on a copper planchet then it would be the same size, width and weight of a cent. A cent blank planchet does not fit into a dime chamber to be struck into a dime.
