Buffalo story - I was gonna' sell my Buffalo's on ebay - just no interest in them; a few less than 6 full rolls. I think I never looked at dates; just tossed them in a bag over last 40 years. I changed my mind last week, and bought the Whitman Album, thinking I'd have half the series done (I'm still dreamin'...) Anyway, started sorting them yesterday morning. 5 S's, 3 D's, seems like the rest are '35, '36, and '37 P's. I started thinkin' I'd find a partridge in a pear tree, before another mint mark. Or, before finding another one without 'P' counterstamp under date. What's up with that C/S??? I KNOW that's a BEP stamp; ain't it ? Then, found a REAL counterstamp - 'R' . Were there still counterfeits being checked in '37 ?
It's 'A R G H H H', ky - sheesh.... Psycho killer? Uh-ohes; sounds like I'm in trouble - although I fear myself unleashed / under affront. No one knows anything of the F stamp under the date? 175 of my 290 have it....... ed.: .50 bambam? SOLD ... to the sucker back row!
He's GOTTA' be a detective (or he called Psychic Hotline). Try one more time tho'; anyone know about the F Stamp under date?
Open up your copy of the Redbook (A Guidebook of United States Coin). It's right there in the introductory paragraphs on Buffalo Nickels. If you don't already a copy, go and buy one. It will be the best $12-15 you'll ever spend on the hobby. It's filled with everything from history, to weights and compositions, and a basic grading guide (best for circulated coins). While the pricing may not be the most accurate, you can get a good idea which coins are common and which are better dates
