Not to be overly critical, but your images should be be a bit clearer if a Flavian novice is to have a shot of getting it right. That being said, I like the subject of your brainteaser.
I believe the Eagle COS V is Titus. But hey, I could be wrong. It wouldn't be the first time nor the last.
Sorry the coins are worn and reflecting the light I don't know the answer either.and I'm a rooky lol I bought all 3 as Vespasian I need a Titus and Caligula to complete my "bakers Dozen" of Caesars
@vespasian70 Just by looking at them, not researching the types or legends - 3 vespasians, but 1 depicting Titus as caesar, under Vespasian?
Images are not good to read the legends. You should be looking for something along the lines of T CAES in there somewhere for Titus. You have an Otho?
If the one with the eagle isn't Titus, I'll eat my own shoes. It looks like a Titus, it barks like a Titus, so it must be a Titus
Go to Wildwinds and look up Titus. Search using CTRL F "eagle" and check the legends, you may get a match.
Pssshhh! Its all about my boy Galba Galba, Roman Empire AR denarius Obv: IMP SER GALBA CAESAR AVG, laureate head right Rev: ROMA RENASC, Roma, helmeted and in military dress, standing left, holding Victory and transverse, eagle-tipped sceptre Mint: Rome (struck June 68- January 69 AD) Ref: RIC 195 OK he has seen better days but my statement still stands!
Good luck with the Caligula. His was the most difficult for me to get. One just sold at CNG today and it had a crack in it. It went for 1800.00.
That's part of the reason why I am not trying to collect one coin for each emperor. Some of them are just ridiculously expensive and hard to find in any decent condition.
