I made a potential very big discovery. Since I&#039;ve been examining my gold coins closely, I have been curious about my 1909 $5 Indian piece. It is a fairly worn coin, probably VF. There is a depression where the mintmark is supposed to be that is viewable in the right lighting by eye. Couldn&#039;t quite tell what it was. I recently purchased a 10X magnifying glass and have examined it closer. I figured it was probably the D, but under close inspection and correct lighting; it very distinctly has the &quot;O&quot; outline!!! IF this in in fact a 1909-O, this find would more than make up for my loss on the indian princess. This coin was actually a gift to me from my parents several years ago, and my dad was telling me he purchased it on ebay. I don&#039;t have a good camera, so I am unable to take pics of it at this time. The only problem with the coin is the wear and it was potentially cleaned....but even still, this coin would bring well over 1k if it is an authentic 1909-O. Does anyone have the redbook values for this coin? Or any additional info on the 1909-O Indian?&nbsp; I&#039;m taking my coins into a dealer tommorow to have them examined, so I&#039;ll let you know the results.
