I am trying to figure out a way to get something going were everyone who doantes has a shot at a prize, but raffles aren't allowed for legal reasons..any ideas? stainless
Coin or Note swap? make a cash donation + plus a coin or note you are willing to donate, send the item to you or joe, then you guys match a donated coin or note with a donation amount and swap to a new owner? too much work? could be fun ala secret santa type of thing...
Hey CoinTalkers Joe and stainless do all the hard work , all we have to do is donate a dollar , $5 , or more it all adds up , we can even maybe double last years amount . rzage

stainless , how bout if everyone who donates gets their name in a hat , your name goes in only once no matter how much or how many times a person donates , just like in the giveaway contests . rzage:bow:
Devil is in the details. If you do it like the stated above it's a contest and we have those like that all the time.
I think that the issue is that a regular contest would not require that you give money. Becuase this requires you to donate money first before you are entered, it counts as a raffle.
OK fair enough then make it a give away. And the person that is giving away the the "coins, aka prizes" is also the person collecting for the charity Or it could be like the old days...we are all collecting for the charity and the person that brings in the most gets first pick of the prize pool? There's got to be a way to make this work. We all want it to and it's for a good cause... So lets brain storm a bit
Stainless like I discussed with you earlier, I will send 10 Lincoln P/D sets. Let me know where you would like them
Count me In I pm'd Joe that I'll put up 4 Lincolns - 2 PCGS, 2 NGC - to be used anyway seen fit to raise more donations. I can't wait to see how he'll use them to twist more arms for $$. I'll pay the postage to get them to whoever... Come on guys and gals, its not like we don't collect money!
Nah we will keep it in here. Update: So far we are at 7 people and at $670! but we have a few pledges to donate via mail. Not bad so far. thanks to everyone so far stainless
