If I was to do this (and I may) I would consider the following list as the minimum:

Thru end of 2009

1c Lincoln Memorial

1c Lincoln Bicentennial

5c Jefferson - pre Westward

5c Jefferson - 2004

5c Jefferson - 2005

5c Jefferson - post Westward

10c Roosevelt

25c 50 States

25c Territories

50c Kennedy

$1 Sacagawea

$1 Presidents

$1 Native American

That would be a total of 13 coins thru 2009. I put the Westward series nickels down twice as the 2004 has a different obverse than the 2005 which is different than 2006 -if the obverse of the 2005 was the same as the 2004 -or- the 2006 then I would just include the Westward series as a single type. I debated about whether or not to count States/Territories quarter as a single type or not. The obverses are the same, but since it is a different "program", I decided to classify them as two seperate types. So in 2010 when the Parks quarters are released, I used the same criteria to include them as a seperate type as well. The new reverse on the 2010 Lincoln cent will also be a new type as well. So barring any other changes, we will have 15 different types thru 2010. With the length of the planned programs - Presidents, Native Americans, Parks this number should stay pretty constant for the next decade or so.
