AE 20th Annv. 3-Coin Set A WORD OF CAUTION ABOUT THE AE 20TH ANNIVERSARY 3-COIN SILVER SETS SOLD BY THE U. S. MINT..... After a very long wait my set was finally delivered in mid-November. The shipping carton was NOT damaged but when I opened the set two of the three coin holders were cracked along the outside edges and the presentation box was in two pieces --- the top was separated from the bottom portion where they coins were housed. I called the mint right away and spoke with a supervisor who told me, and I quote: "We are aware that some sets were damaged BEFORE shipment." She then told me to return only the two damaged coins and the case for exchange. She told me what to write on the exchange portion of the original invoice, which I did. I sent the damaged merchandise back to the USM on November 20. On December 16, the mint returned the damaged coins and case to me with a form letter telling me that nothing could be done because I did not return the entire set. Unblievable. I have been a customer of the USM for quite a few years and have never before had such shabby service from them. I will not incur yet another shipping charge to return the entire set to them. I would recommend that everyone be very careful when buying these sets, especially from private sellers over the Internet. EXAMINE YOUR ORDER VERY CAREFULLY. Dave McStowe
