The mint ended the series in 1935 so there was no brilliant Proof Peace Dollar. There were Matte Proofs made in 1921 and &#039;22 but they are so rare that most collectors have never seen one, let along had the funds to buy one. </p><p><br /></p><p>Therefore the 2023-S coin offered me a chance to fill that fantasy hole in my collection.
