I got this quarter in change from the Dollar General. I’m pretty sure that it is a mint error. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I think there are one or two die cracks on the reverse. There is also what I believe to be a small grease spot. I am not looking to sell, but would like to know the value. Thank you in advance.

    WOW!

That's a MASSIVE cud on the obverse, and it almost looks like a fragment of a loose letter got struck into it. The spot on the reverse that looks like it's struck through grease is probably just a weak strike, there because the corresponding spot on the obverse die went AWOL.

I see a nice die crack on the reverse from the star to the rim, and maybe a couple on the obverse near the date and the neck (can't quite tell from these photos).

I don't know much about valuation for errors, but this is DEFINITELY a multiple error, and a cool one.

    Neat Die Break aka Cud.
An area of the Obverse Die broke off and when it struck the blank planchet the metal flowed into the void of the die. That's why it looks the way it does on the opposite side.

Wow, thanks for all the replies! Does anyone happen to know what a ballpark value of this would be?

I agree. That sold for price was ridiculous. That person will regret buying it.

I did think that was very high, but I figured the die crack on the reverse of that one was a lot bigger than the one on mine, and probably had something to do with it.

Same die, different stage of it starting to fall apart.

The crack on the reverse at the star is all the way across the coin to the opposite rim. It crosses her chin, jaw, down her shoulder, and through the N in United. Cool find.
