Thing is I&#039;m thinking due to the small mint number the price of them will likely never go down from 300+ dollars they sell for now, only up.&nbsp; So my only option to my knowledge anyway is to buy one soon at the present 375 or so going rate. I&#039;m thinking in 5 years they could cost much more.&nbsp; I&#039;ll also buy a 2021 silver mint set directly from the mint if the opportunity comes up. Originally I was mostly just interested in older coins but I got to looking at the newer one&#039;s, especially the few newer coins with lower mintage and started to realize If I don&#039;t grab some of them while they are cheap directly from the mint I&#039;ll be paying a lot more for them later.&nbsp; Also there is more of an opportunity to make a few bucks by buying more than I need and selling later. But I&#039;m talking about items with low mint numbers only. I&#039;m not in it to make a profit but if I make a little money It can help offset this habit. I&#039;m still trying of course to also put together a collection of Indian head pennies.&nbsp; I had probably found some 15 or 20 with a detector years ago but I didn&#039;t find any of the rarer one&#039;s.&nbsp; I just bought a 1909 S AU which set me back and a nice Bronze AU to UNC 1864 and I&#039;ve picked up a few others.&nbsp; I&#039;m getting a Buffalo nickel collection together slowly too and I have a few Eagles and Morgans. Not many. Also a wheat and more modern penny collection but it has a long way to go. I also bought some 2 and 3 cent coins and of course I had to buy a English Coventry 1790 something Lady Gadiva 1/2 cent but my foreign coins will be few.&nbsp; I figured also I best latch on to some of the State Park W coins before they all are hoarded.&nbsp; It&#039;s been fun but pretty expensive for my meager budget but I&#039;m kinda picky.&nbsp; I think also about the mint set that&#039;s already been mentioned, the WCD Proof Quarter might just make that set worth it.&nbsp; I think new folks coming into this often will think like me as well.
