2021 Peace Dollar Lucky?

I was lucky got one! So glad because this and JFK half's are my favorite currency. Don't own a 1921 real one yet lots of 1922's. I feel lucky maybe buy a lotto? lol Was Hanging on to my lucky ASE when typing trying to get one. GL To ALL WHO ARE TRYING!

I have no idea, I did get an order acknowledgement but I don't if it's for 1 of each or just 1 Peace dollar which is what I wanted.

 

I got 3 peace and 3 morgans (P) went pretty well considering went through hell for the CC Morgans

 

Somehow I managed to get lucky and get the entire set of six coins (if the confirmation I got today holds true).I’ve had a run of luck getting the sought after coins…I’m sure I’ll pay for it down the road.

 

Same Mint site, different error messages. After 19 minutes of pain, got confirmation that I got both.

Looks like the Peace sold out faster than the "P" Morgan, even though it had a higher mintage.

 

I had the same problem…I was sure the system bounced me too many times and then at 12:15 it went through. I also got one of the enhanced reverse proof silver eagles, so I’m sure something bad will happen with this last order.

 

Check you Credit/Debit card for pending transactions, that’ll tell you how much you’ve spent.

well they are billing me $170.00 so with any luck I'm getting 1 of each.

Just got my real email confirmation about an hour ago.

The second one they send after purchase. Not the first one you get immediately after placing an order.

I’ve been told once you get the second email you are guaranteed to get the coin unless your card gets declined or something like that.

I got lucky and managed to get at least 1 of all 6 coins in the set.

But I only got 1 CC and 1 O and 3 of each of the rest for trading.

 

Same here . I am thrilled I got all 6 coins.

I wish I’d bought more of the O’s and CC’s though.

It feels weird to have 1 CC & 1 O but then 3 each of the rest.

Maybe I can trade so I end up with 2 complete sets by trading an S & a D for a CC and a P & Peace Dollar for an O.

Oh well I’m just glad I got the full set at retail price.

 

I did- the mint took the money for what I ordered. But I’ve also seen cases where a company accidentally over-sold and puts the money back- I’m a glass is half full, chipped, about to spill and roll off the table kinda guy- so my pessimism won’t let me believe it worked out

 

You're bloody right.........I didn't think they 'nicked' the card till they were ready to ship......stinkers.

 

It's just an Auth (pending charge) - it'll fall off your credit card within the week. They'll reauth when they're ready to ship and settle (charge) your card then.

 

They don’t. It’s just a temporary charge. It doesn’t actually post though.

Like my last order for the S & D Morgan Dollars showed a pending $514.95 charge for a few days and then disappeared.

I was told the Mint does it to ensure the credit card works and has an available balance larger than the purchase.

But don’t worry it won’t post until it ships.

 

Here is a trick for next time.

When you are buying stuff like that use your cellphone to refresh until you see it’s available and then swap to your PC when it is.

I used to get banned for refreshing too much before the item was even available because I was trying to get it the second it came out.

 

I’m not worried about that…whenever it posts is fine…my fear remains getting an email that says they accidentally oversold.

I got a Peace Dollar today without much trouble. I wasn't interested in the Morgans but got an S last week just because I was curious how the site was behaving and ended up getting all the way through the process.
