The first bank probably only sold change to small businesses and not personal customers with checking accounts that are just going to search through them. If you ask me I think there’s way to many collectors since the pandemic and a lot of them are hoarding box’s of coins and selling them for double the amount on eBay and other sites. Anyway a second bank in my town has no problem giving me box’s of pennies when I need them. Of course I only get a box at a time so I don’t have them tell me I’m getting way to many and that I can’t get anymore. No need to have more then one box at a time and I wouldn’t be surprised if this supposed coin shortage we are having continues for much longer that the feds will put a stop to people hoarding change or at least selling box’s of it on the internet.[/QUOTE]
