2021 (P) Morgan Dollar & (P) Peace Dollar

Received my order for 3 Peace and 1 Morgan(P). Last week have confirmation on The (S) snd (D) Morgan’s. Unfortunately wasn’t able to get ANY of 1st weeks offering of (CC) and (O) Morgan’s. One all In hand I’ll be looking to trade some Peace for O & Cc Morgan’s.

I got a confirmation email for my 3 Peace dollars. Depending on future prices, I’ll either sell them or use them as trade bait for Morgans. I’ve got two Os coming (intended to buy only one but the Mint site decided I needed another.

It seems odd to me that they combined the final Morgan dollar window with the Peace dollar window, though. I'd think that might be two different groups of people that would do better if they didn't have to fight with each other for website attention...

probably planned getting research on auction format? couldn't sell the Morgan's without a hiccup so pair the Morgan/peace?

 

Website had a lot of hiccups for me today. Was finally able to get my order in right before they sold out. Have not received an email from the mint confirming it yet, but it shows in my order history page. I guess we'll find out in a couple months. I think the peace dollars will be hot.

 

Confirmations are spilling out, mine came in about 9 minutes ago.

 

Somewhat curious on eBay. Bunches of Peace dollars running from $145 to $200 — and the overwhelming number of sellers with low numbers of sales — including one with one sale. Considering everyone is using the Mint illustrations — and the coins won’t be released until this fall — there’s a lot of room for monkey business.

 

I have confirmations of every one except the CC. Hope I can find someone to swap with when they are delivered.

 

It's all monkey business since eBay's presale policy clearly states listings must guarantee that the item will be shipped within 30 days of purchase

 

Just wait until the presales are for NGC or PCGS certified MS70 coins... then you have to factor in a r/t to the TPG and express grading fees.

 

Imagine if prices see a steep climb over that period. I wonder how many of these pre-sale sellers will dutifully box up their dollars and march to the post office?

The really bad part about these pre-orders is most people don't realize there is NO solution if your card is stolen and has to be canceled and replaced. The Mint has stated to everyone that if this happens, you are OUT. There is no re-do. No calling in advance with a replacement card to keep your order. You're just out of luck. So guard those cards. I spread my orders out across three different ones. If one gets hacked I'll still get the other two.

Which, if that's the case fine, but why not wait until they're available to ship to sell them so people don't have to go through this? I can only imagine how many people will lose their cards due to expiring or getting them stolen between now and October. I don't know if anyone else caught it but when I was checking out today, at the end it said in red lettering that this product (Peace and P Morgan) is expected to be available to ship... NOV 15th! Yeah, that's uh, that's not October.
So good luck to these ebay folks. The adventure has only begun.

 

This is sad news for me because my card for the original orders was compromised, canceled and I was sent a new card with a different number.

 

Sorry to hear. You will not be getting that order. Even if you enter the new card in on your account. For whatever reason, they are unable to change it and your order will be re-released for sale at a later time this year.
