The edge is completely silver all the way around and the coin appears to still have a somewhat dull luster. My lights makes it look even more dull than it is.</p><p><br /></p><p>The issue I have is that I think &quot;black beauty&quot; is skin deep, lol. By that I mean it has some circulation wear and tear that is still covered and filled by the toning. Which is why I think it was toned after it was struck.
