Not much but I thought I'd share my pocket change die chip. It is on the west pillar of Monticello. 2020dc1.jpg 2020dc2.jpg 2020dc3.jpg 2020dc4.jpg 2020dc5.jpg

And from the obverse it looks like he is shedding a tear about it!

The chip on your coin is in a different location than the OPs coin, so it isn't exactly the same. They are from different dies. Sometimes, it's better to take your time and be sure of what you're posting (just a suggestion that might help).

Chips on the Nickel reverse aren't that uncommon and they are sometimes referred to has a "hornets nest".

@eric6794 Cool find even if it doesn't add any premium

Why are they called Hornets Nests?

I guess that's what it looks like--When it's on the roof they call it snow

The irregular shape resembles a hornets/wasps nest on a house

Oh, I see. Thank you! So, on this 2019 ATB Quarter, that's also a Hornets' Nest on the left of the bell tower roof and the cross? That's my very first die chip find (if it is one).

I was reluctant to call my die chip a wasp/hornets nest because that suggest extra value. Typically for it to be referred to as a wasp/hornets nest it has to be apart of a building usually where a hornets nest would be built in real life.

Thanks for the additional clarification. So mine doesn't technically qualify either since it's right on the roof of the bell tower.
