That was and is an excellent thread confirming doubled dies in the single squeeze hubbing process. LOL. I am inquisitive at that. I now ask you if you agree with this thread in the link confirming doubled dies are created by the single squeeze method. Here's #10 for you by GrumpEd and the Underlining and bold is by this inquisitive soul. (I Hope he is doing ok): are by me. "You are confusing the main point. .... The whole definition of a "doubled die" is that the die itself is doubled when the die is made. The die is then used to make thousands and thousands of coins so a doubled die will make duplicate doubled coins as long as it is used, there is no double striking when the coins are made. That is why doubled dies are a variety not an error, everything went fine when it was struck (no strike error) ..... I hope that makes sense, the thing here is that doubled dies make real doubled die (die variety) coins, regular dies that bounce make strike doubled (minor error) coins. ...... But you are talking about how a coin die (not a coin) can become doubled when the die is made with single squeeze. .... Single squeeze is the die making method not the coin making/striking method." If you're not interested and don't want to collect them, fine and dandy. But grab some more common sense for yourself since your passing it around and don't mislead collectors that are trying to get a handle on this great hobby. We don't need misinformation and more confusion. Others have mentioned in this thread that there are no "real" doubled dies created in the single squeeze method. That is pure and simple bull hockey as proven by the fact that there are at least 4 attribution sites out there for modern doubled die coins. If you don't agree with Variety Vista, Copper Coins, Doubled Dies, or CRDieVarieties then convince them. Until they agree, please stop spreading false misunderstandings on your part.
