This is a must have for me. From what I've heard a W proof will come with proof set. A reverse proof will come with the silver proof set. And a business strike will come with mint set. I've not ordered from the mint in some time but i will be ordering all three of these sets strictly for the cents. I can see a set of these 3 coins on the secondary market going through the roof. My first W lincoln is on the way!!!!!
Yes, everyone is correct. First of all, the "W" Lincoln is being presented as a gift with a Mint set, Proof set and Silver Proof set. Because of the different sets, there are also different "W" Lincolns too. So, you have to purchase ALL three to receive, ALL three different Lincolns. Secondly, because they are special, they are being handled as they are special and thus, nearly ALL should end up being "perfect" grades. This means that since the mintages will mirror the specific sets they are with, the amount is not unlimited yet, still not low as many may believe. Thirdly, as stated above, nearly ALL should end up "perfect" due to special minting and handling so, the population and rarity of a 70 in ANY of the types will not really be evident. As also stated, some are already selling at an enormous premium which will eventually settle and lower to a reasonable price as the population rises as expected. In closing, I have the first on the way and I plan to order the other two when available yet, I will not purchase a "70" until later. Good luck and enjoy all, I will.
Im imagining all kinds of stuff like a pcgs west point lincoln 3 coin slab. Wow with all toners from the flaws in that packaging. Yea i can see it now. I went to the coin show this weekend and asked the Lincoln lovers what they thought about them and most had no idea. Maybe the normal proof issue will be more scarce than the reverse proof. Either way who will want just 1 of the 3? With different mintage numbers some people will be left wanting one or the other. I know there not gonna be rare and most likely always available on the secondary market but, Its gonna be interesting to see what the future holds for the 2019 W Lincoln cents.
