So I got my uncirculated mint set with a w cent yesterday and posted the picture of the cent above (set on right). Today I check my mailbox and there is another mint package and edit: just checked my account and yes I was charged twice... I cant remember maybe I had a subscription and then ordered one oh well....
And all you holier than thou folks? Sod off.........if I sent the set back it would only confuse them, and the good Lord knows they're confused enough............can't remember to put three little 'w' cent into a package? Forget the blasted envelopes.......
I couldn't agree more. They are so confuse they don't know what it means to be confused. For them, it's a normal state.
Reminds me I was charged on my 4th order this year, says on the website, you only get charged for 3. but I keep forgetting to talk to them.
Actually it would take an act of Congress to change the composition of the Cent for a commemorative coin.
The mint director could have taken discretion.......I think he's allowed a little latitude without the malfeasance of congress.........
E-mail from the mint today........ I'd be interested to see what they ship this stuff in. Oversized box with minimal packaging, sealed with a generous amount of gorilla glue that the 'Jaws of Life' can't open? I'm just happy the mint is sending them.
The likelihood of that happening is tantamount to me winning Lotto, but thanks for the positive thoughts/wishes TC........
In the late 1980s I purchased a special edition Monopoly game. They made 2 that year. Mine was the “original” edition with a folding game board and a set of the original pieces, bone colored dice (instead of red) and wooden houses and Grand Hotels. The set was missing a die, so I wrote to Parker Brothers who sent me a set of bone dice, a set of red dice and the other commemorative set of game pieces including the train only available in the other commemorative set. It’d be great if they sent you 3 of each of the types, but the US Mint is no Parker Bros., so... Just sayin’
Parker Bros. they ain't, Mike. Gosh I loved that game when I was a kid. We'd play for hours........my old man used to cheat.
