Look at yours underneath and over the top of the breasts and then compare to the photos of the real one.

I bought a fake Indian head once. I messaged the seller and told him it was fake and he refunded me.

I didn't purchase this coin, it was gave to a friend who gave it to me.

One last thing that I noticed is the stripes on the shield are off center.

Fake as hell. For one thing, look at the rays of the sun on the obverse. On a real coin, the tips are equidistant to the solar disk. On your coin, they are not. The lettering on the reverse is all messed up--the tops of the letters are not even with each other (the D in United and the M in America, for example). The D also looks crooked in relation to the other letters.

This is a very telling and super great answer….. Often times us old coin guys will say something like… “It looks off to me”….. And the reason they look off to us old coin guys is exactly things like the stripes on the shield being off center. Typically US engravers are dead on the mark. Other than some very early stuff, there really aren’t “small” mistakes on US issues. And it’s an accumulation of the “small mistakes” that give a phony piece the appearance of being off. Details are extremely important when assessing coins these days.
