Imagine the buying power of a penny in 2071. I'm guessing we're about 10 years away from the end of the penny, although when it finally happens I hope they still make them for collectors.
problem is by then, all the existing zincolns will have eaten themselves and leave the collector with a slab and a pile of dust in it.
The 2019 coins are starting to hit banks somewhere. I saw on eBay that a few boxes and rolls of pennies have been sold for ridiculous prices. $200 for a box, $10 for a single roll...its insane. I want some to hunt through but there's no way I'm paying a premium. I'm going to have some patience and wait it out for awhile. I did hit up 5 banks in my area the other day and none of them have any. In the meantime I am going to continue to hunt through my current box of disgusting pennies that seem to have spent years in car cup holders and human waste...good times.

I'm looking forward to that, too. I'll be 126 years old then. Just imagine, a coin named after an ABC TV newsmagazine show!
