    Hi everyone,
Just bought this 2019 O Canada coin set a few days ago. Right away when the lady passed it to me. I knew something looked odd. Yet I didn’t have time to examine it.
Today I decided to take a closer inspection and found an extra star on the quarter at 12:00. Also it appears that the coins have a bubbles on the reverse and almost smooth obverse.

I don't know about this error yet. I am guessing a die chip ??? Does it look like another star ? If so that would be cool. Wait for more opinions...

Yes, it looks like a star!
Also, I was looking at the dime again and noticed it possibly has a finned rim?

Is it possible to get another photo of the second star in better focus ? Have you looked on Ebay to see if there are other coins like the second star 1 ? Envy is the word.

The close up reverse of the dime looks horrible or is that just the plastic?

To me the quarter looks damaged but better to tell in hand under the loupe. I found one 2019 quarter in circulation a month plus or so ago and haven’t seen any other.

Where’s the penny? Where’s the Nickel dollar? 2012, when I get around to those years, will be the last Canadian year sets I collect if I decide to collect them at all, I despise the loonie and toonie!

I wonder if it is a die chip as well

Yes, they stopped making the Canadian penny in 2012.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a loupe yet. Just an old magnifying glass.
I dare not to open but I will try to get some better pictures.

    Have not checked eBay yet.

Yes, but a die chip resulting in a star shape?

Can't tell if it is a die chip or a contact mark.

So ,upon closer inspection on the
Dime. I believe it’s just lightning error not a finned rim.
The quarter is probably die chips.
Looking in the result of the shape of a star. It looks as if there’s a chip above to the left of the A in Canada as well.

I checked around the web and found the coins have a smooth obverse and reverse.
The set I picked up has an orange peel reverse and smooth obverse.
Not major errors but still a cool find for 2019!
