2019 Numismatic Travel Plans - Where Ya Goin'?

I'll be traveling to several coin shows this year at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds . . . in climate-controlled comfort via nonstop Toyota RAV4 service.

I’m still shooting for Sat morning. I need to be up in Orange County by 2:30 for my daughters cheer competition, so I’ll probably leave by 12:30.

What time will you be there?

 

I arrive in NYC tonight about 6:30. Then, a nice dinner, and hibernate until the show opens Saturday. I'm staying about a block away. Nothing on Broadway "spoke to me".

Sadly no. Didn’t get the approval from the Frau.

I'll be in a bluish grey pullover, for warmth, with an ANA logo polo shirt in bright screaming red, for ID and promotion, over it. I'm about 6'2" 210 lbs. with quite gray hair and a bit of gray stubble. The polo is gonna be blue on Sunday.

I arrive tonight in a full business suit and tie.

I left my Nick Foles Super Bowl LII jersey on the wall. I was tempted.

See? Too frightening. The beard is now just stubble and my hair is SLIGHTLY longer than that now. The Sony strap (and camera) WILL be present. Sunday trip to B&H to look at flashes for the Sony.

The sick part is I've had only ONE haircut since then, and that pic was August. I got full goose Bozo "old Luke Skywalker" in between. The beard got to over 6 inches.

I gotta grab me a sammich at Harrisburg station in about a half hour or I may start munching on Amtrak seats.

 

Meh, she let me go last year and she's tolerated the immense amount of CRHing I've been doing. I'll skip this battle and save up for Gettysburg or some shows in the Maryland/VA area.

 

You have been to the B&H tech store? That's awesome. I've only ordered online!

 

Would have been great to see you there. But it may indeed be better to enjoy your remaining time in Europe with your family.

At Stout NYC Grand Central for ribs and a brewski. Nice young active Friday night bar crowd. The hotel is a hoot. Used to be the Chemists Club. No alcohol in two weeks. I’m cheating tonight. My meds are packed.
