Space is no longer cool in the mainstream, sadly. I hope they care, because it was an amazing thing to have done. But when I was listening to an interview on the CBC a few weeks back about the Chinese lunar lander, I was shocked when the interviewer, a supposedly educated journalist, asked "how many countries have landed on the moon?" The interviewee managed to suppress his shock. I think I violently spit out my drink Laurel and Hardy style. Also, the movie "First Man," which I enjoyed, appears to have done poorly at the box office. Perhaps as the actual date approaches the hype will pick up, but so far the moon landing anniversary seems to have met with an indifferent thud.[/QUOTE]
