What the article failed to mention is that the coin & COA also came with an encapsulated lock of hair from the coin press operator. Of course, it is unwashed & contains a full DNA profile, should someone want to commemorate this exceptional event (read: the minting of yet another reverse proof ASE) at a future date, perhaps in 10,000 yrs. Don't you wish we could clone some dead people???? :joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful::yack::yuck:

Even if we could clone people, the clone would never become the same person as the person cloned unless we also have a way to modify consciousness. A person isn't simply genetics and matter. Our personalities are formed from a culmination of life experiences.

That said, I don't understand why these dealers think the COA is such a hot item. I collect coins. If I wanted to collect limited edition pieces of paper I would collect art prints. I kind of hope they get stuck with these and buried.

I thought I was through with this POS (Piece of Silver) but when I saw the ridiculous price it went for I had to post it. The absurdity of it. :wacky:

And to think I had offered to trade mine, unopened for a Type 1 $20 Liberty. No one took me up on the deal now I have a $1000+ coin in my Dansco.
