Have a coin here. My mom got it back in change at the bank a while back. I'm new to the error coin thing. Any ideas what's going on with the head?
Obverse - DEFDAM - Definitely Damaged. Scraped Reverse - slight misaligned die strike. Nothing major.
Thanks! You all are awesome. Someone recommended me to you all and he was right. People that know what they are looking at. Much appreciated
Welcome! Hope you enjoy CT membership! A lot of knowledge and honesty here! Some of the honestly can sound a little abrasive, but the comments are usually intended to help you learn!!!
Welcome to CT @Teufel234. You were correct in stating that it was a MAD, or misaligned die, showing on the reverse, but the obverse is due to damage. MAD on the newer dimes is a very common thing and NAV, no added value, but collecting is all about keeping what you like. Good luck on future finds.
