I have three questionable double ear pennies. I have looked at a lot of online photos, but still need more knowledgeable opinions. Any help appreciated!
Hmmmm, Meow has found several Doubled die ears on 2015d and 2018d pennies so looks at the ear rather closely. Meow would really make sure its not just a PMD hit. Photos are not a good as the eye under a magnifier. These are tough to take good pictures of. Compare it to the same year and mint and see if its an extra detail, and not a splitting of the lobe from a hit. Meow would guess it is a PMD hit that split the earlobe.
Kaye, Do you still have this coin by chance? I'd be interested in comparing mine to yours. I've got a 2019-D LSC that could be a potential twin of this coin. If we can confirm that they are indeed the same, I think we can time out PMD. I'm going to take some pictures and upload them shortly
