2018 Wisconsin P apostle islands quarter.

    Front is off center. Back is off center and appears to be double die. Most of the edge is smooth and coin looks like it was separating during mint. Also one part of the edge is flat instead of rounded. Has anyone seen this before?

    Looks like a broadstrike to me nice find.Its worth a least a few bucks for that just keep it. 20210312_110007.jpg

    yes, that looks like a broadstrike. It happens when the collar that goes around the coin during the striking is missing or damaged and the coin fills in the gap that it creates.

    Partial collar, Uncentered Broad-strike would be a better term to distinguish it from an out of collar Broadstrike.
