Why was this minted in Denver, I assume that it had something to do with the war, but I don't know much more than that. The little that I have read about this series seems really interesting. Either way, I'm not sure how he knew that I was starting an all numismatist country dancing group. This, along with the well wishes received from CT members has pretty much cured me. I have family in Asheville and in Chapel Hill, so it was nice to get a regional piece.
