Well, I am going to do the same thing I have done the last 3 years. That is, I am going to open it right away, take photos, post then enjoy. Its one of the few gifts I receive that i truly anticipate, and I know it will not be just worthless walmart junk (like all my other gifts I get from friends and fam).
The past few years I have waited till last minute to send mine. Then they have no choice wether or not to wait. I am not sure what I am gonna do this year.
Alright, I have no will power. Here is a picture of what I got. The 96W dime has eluded me for some time, pretty cool to finally have it, in a slab no less! Will also be checking out the book. Thanks SS!
Thank you Santa. [*Edited by moderator at the request of your Secret Santa, who didn't want his return address visible.]
Oh, look, a package by the fireplace, waiting for Santa the USPS to pick it up. It has a long way to go. Hope it makes it there in time. Those flying reindeer had better eat lots of oats! Santa recently scored two big Mint sheets of the 1978 US #1734 "midget" stamps, which feature an 1877 Indian cent! Got 'em for less than face value, too. Still had good gum on the backs, after 40 years. Puttin' 'em to good use, traveling across the globe.
Lovely morning. Truly gorgeous. One feels fully alive on a cool, clear day like this. Post office should open any minute, now. Hmm... what's with the fl- Oh, that's right. Bush 41 just assumed his final place in history. Gee, Poppy, you couldn't have waited until after the new year? .
Awesome. I'm a tiny bit jealous. For some inexplicable reason, the '96-W dime is one modern issue I kind of like, but which has eluded me too.
Just a technical question - should I maintain my anonymity when sending the SS gift (see post # 131) or may I reveal my true identity to my recipient? I'm doing this for the first time and would appreciate any input from SS 'vets'
