I picked up a 2018 reverse proof set and one of the quarters looks to have a lamination error on George's face, I'll post a picture of a normal and the different looking one.

Out of focus photogs leave me weary and unable to come to an opinion.

I see nothing but improper lighting. Perhaps others, with more experience will chime in. But I will say this.....Proofs from the US mint are almost perfect. You need more convincing photogs......

Hard to tell from the photos but it looks like his cheek area was not fully polished at the mint.

Ok the first picture is what 4 of the quarters look like, the 2nd and 3rd is what the 5th quarter looks like. All pictures are in the same lighting. The face of George is not the same

Looks like a big ole thumbprint on George's face.

Still in the case from the mint and it's not a thumb print.

Reverse proof! Not the reverse of the coin

ITs the limited silver reverse proof set. I cant tell what happened. I have to agree with Razz, it looks like someone put a thumb print on the silver before it went into the case. oils, acid, from hand or something had negative effect?

A Reverse Proof is just the opposite of a regular proof. The devices have a mirror finish and the fields are cameo.

Not a lamination error. It still looks unpolished to me.

Maybe your photos would come out better in natural light without the flash or whatever that light is.
