    Die chips Meow thinks. Bet that is hard to photograph because of the reflections of a shiny penny.

    Oh yea, it could be that too. Its just shiny pennies are so hard to take pics of.

    Meow I bet your cat senses when crazy of that shinny cent!! If you start shooting spider webs, go see a vet quick!!

I taught myself how to shoot pics of the moon thru my telescope several years ago (pics attached) and it’s pretty similar to that, but still not easy!

    I also think it is a plating issue. They can't all be perfect.
    An improperly plated planchet. Save it for a reference piece.

    Hard to tell from photos but it looks like a plating issue on a zinc Cent. It's worth the cost of a penny and a flip to keep it.
