2018 D penny error?

Looking at these newer coins I have been noticing that they are not stamped very well and I have a few.

Looks ok to me
Die do get worn a lot so you might see Die Deterioration Strikes which is common.

 

Your thoughts on this one

 

Corroded, Environmental Damage.

 

All the newer cents are struck with a highly corrosive zinc core. They have the life span of an M&M candy.

I say as long as he uses the answers to his benefit. It will be refreshing to not have to answer them again for him.

 

So true, I metal detect and these coins deteriorate quickly in the soil. The worst metal coin out there.
