2018 apostle island coin error???

I'm new to collecting coins I've just a small collection but I come across this today any help is much appreciated thank you.

The edge on the Obverse side was altered. Not a Mint error.

 

It looks like the reverse might have been, too! ~ Chris

I thought it looked like somebody alternate but figured it couldn't hurt to check thank you

 

It's damaged so spend it and welcome to CT.

 

@Kent carroll welcome to CT. Nice find, but as already stated, it is a man-altered coin, not unlike many dryer coins, so NAV, or No Added Value. Still worth 25¢.
May I suggest that you post photos as FULL IMAGE (after uploading a photo, you click on full image) and when showing the obverse and reverse, crop the photo to show just the coin with no confusing or distracting background. Always post full front and back and then close ups of any areas you question. Good hunting.
