From the description of the striking process it would seem to me that this would be a common occurrence and not considered a mint error or die variety but I figured I&#039;d look into it and see what some more experienced individuals had to say. It may be a dumb question but this is the only &quot;burnished&quot; coin in my collection and I&#039;ve not had a chance to take a close look at any others in my short time collecting.
