    How do you know when it's a bag mark?

    Under magnification the mark is connected to the mouth. I uploaded another pic.

    When it looks like it, such as yours.
    Think of the edge of a coin slamming (or pressure) against another coin and indenting it.

    This can be done in the coin processing by Loomis/Brinks (see below), or even if you load up on change in one's purse, coin jar, etc.

    remember, circulated coins are made for commerce.
    They are treated as such. Each coin is not handled in velvet pouches to protect them, they are treated as cash and processed as such.

    What happens when two cars metal bodies smash into each other, even at low speeds?

    I understand and agree. I just thought it was interesting that the mark landed where it did. Thanks guys for all of your knowledge and insight.
