I'm not seeing anything remarkable, but may I ask if you have yet tried to attribute it on your own, or at least compared it to known (accepted) varieties? If not, here's a start.. http://doubleddie.com/2318537.html
Hi ..I really thought error coin size of coin doubled die markings under shield ,Liberty, date color of coin? Thank you for your reply I am learning no expert .
Color will have nothing to do with it, but thanks for taking the time to explain. We used to have a couple of members who were very good with these, and whose opinions I would trust over my own, but they haven't been around lately. Perhaps wait to see what others may say, and I'll try to take another look with fresh eyes tomorrow. Welcome to the forum.
What Books said above the color doesn't matter. The obverse looks like die deterioration, But, the reverse .I like to see some in focus photos.
THANK YOU for the information BOOKS BEFORE COINS PICKIN AND GRININ your replies are respected I AM new ...die deterioration that has to be what is going on ..back to the hunt and ill try not to be so extreme in title on regular Lincoln cents .
