2017 "P" cent

So after the dust settled, what was the big Hoopla over the "Limited Minting" of this cent?

I understood it to be something to watch for but later in the year, mint rolls were available everywhere

Just like about 95% of the stuff that seems important at one time.

 

Final figure was 4,361,220,000 minted, so not exactly scarce.

 

All it meant was that it was limited only for that year.. 2017

All hype as it was a first. I have a box and numerous rolls but they won't be worth the price to keep them.

 

I bought a roll and put them all in 2 by 2s perhaps I can sell them on eBay in a few years. I mean I saw some silly people selling like 4 for a dollar anyhow so in a few years some people might be able to pay a lot for them.

 

It’s only limited minting when the Mint produces only enough for the TV sellers and the flippers to buy out. This didn’t qualify.

 

I have only found 2 in change here in SoCal.

 

I found more than a few, back in the day, but not lately (now)........not by any means rare, and nothing to through back for future embezzlement.

 

Got yah beat, I've found three in Indiana, no D's yet though.

 

I bought a few rolls of 2017 P & D each, and in circulation I have gotten, I think, three D's and about 20 P's.
