The mint is trying to make all their coins shinney and mirror like. It seems that the new breed of collectors wants the shinney and mirror like stuff. The new coating process leaves a lot to be desired. It is difficult to maintain a nice finish. Here is a 2019 W Proof with imbedded fibers and faded finish.
