Oh, is it? Tampa is about the limit of what I'll drive. I did enjoy the Tampa area last year, that was a really nice show.
I found a conveniently located, highly rated Airbnb place for about $200 for 3 nights. Hotels are bloody expensive during the show.
I was at the 2015 in Orlando when it never got above 55 degrees the entire show. Would expect Ft. Lauderdale to not have that problem. However hotels are out-of-sight expensive in FtL in January. If you want to be close to the show it will cost you more per night than the show rate at the Waldorf-Astoria the following week at the NYINC. I would think that would have a severe impact on attendance just as the high cost of attending the ANA in Anaheim crimped attendance.
I just became a FUN - Ft. Lauderdale attendee TODAY. Staying inland at the Comfort Suites at Sawgrass. 'Sokay cuz we're driving down from Pennsyltuckey. Staying at the hotel Thursday and Friday nights and returning northward sometime Saturday afternoon. 17 hours of motoring goodness, each way.
Well darn. It seems like a lot of folks can't make it this year. I thought for sure we could talk you into a giant party in the RV.
I pm'd green18 about the parking. (At best they mention some spaces are oversized but they didn't give you the actual dimensions, just a phone number.) I found out then he had decided not to drive down. It looks like we will have to make our own party just a little bit smaller.
Well you'll get it back in Tampa next year. And if Green isn't going...I'll have to second guess my trip
What would be the cost and distance for a campground to the convention? If I drive I would pitch a tent, sure beats a smelly motel room in a run down part of town.
