This one's new to me and was wondering if anyone else has run across a coin with a similar sheen?
All photos are taken from same angle with same lighting and distance. Only the coin is being rotated or tilted between shots.

Out of curiosity, would you know why or how that is caused?

It's caused by the metal flowing under the extreme pressure of the dies.

If you haven't seen this before, you are probably buying over-dipped or cleaned coins.

Atcarroll it reminds me of a cd or dvd the way the light plays on the coin as you rotate it in hand. Thank you for the explanation!

Some people will dip coins in harsh chemicals to clean them this can sometimes remove the luster of a coin even if it appears very clean. This coin you have is not dipped but it has retained some nice luster from when it was made. Nothing special but still neat to see the effect :)

What @paddyman98 said. The devices of the Jefferson nickel have been flattened considerably. because of this the nickel strikes VERY efficiently and produces an attractive, very lustrous coin.
To bad the portrait of Jefferson sucks.

Yeah, had no illusions of any greatness in the coin itself. Just never seen a coin that looked like a CD/DVD with the cartwheel effect (thanks furryfrog02!). And thank you all for the explanations!
