That's not true
Most people on the internet don't have a clue what a doubled die is. I see some md on the Y.
I wonder what the next coin experiment will be?
Patently FALSE. They are doubled dies, and are categorized and listed at both Wexler and Variety Vista.
Regarding this coin, it is die deterioration/overused die.
I see no extra thickness or notching, which is the majority you will find on shield cents and is considered minor doubling with a very shallow premium...imo...Spark
