Kind of blurry but looks like coin counter damage.

    Hi, Lucille. Welcome.

You didn't include your email address in your post, but as it happens, that's good, since doing so is a no-no on the CoinTalk forums. Private communications go on via the private messaging system here.

You'll need to start your own topic about your nickels, since they do not relate to the topic being discussed here. You will also need to learn how to post pictures, as nobody can evaluate a coin's value without grading it, and it can't be graded without pictures.

It takes a little while to learn the ropes, but stick around. It's a great site.

    First, welcome to the neighborhood!

You've got one just like what? Like the OP's or the one in Post #20 & #21? It would help if you clicked on "Reply" found at the bottom of the post to which you are referring so that we know what you mean. It also helps if you post a photo of your coin.

In any event, if you are referring to the circular mark etched around the circumference, it is probably crimping machine damage. We see a lot of it here. I doubt that yours is just like it, but it is probably similar. ~ Chris

No to the N. datoka quarter question. I don't see any reason why there can't be @JCro57
