2016-P Shawnee 25C Planchet Damage.

    Here is an interesting 2016-P Shawnee, Illinois 25C I found in change filled with tons, and I mean TONS of planchet damage. Just thought it was neat.

    I'm not sure about the obverse, but the reverse looks like die deterioration to me.

    Yes to Die Deterioration. Not a Planchet error but a worn Die issue.
    I would not say tons of planchet errors.. that would be pretty heavy :rolleyes:

    And it looks grease filled die causing the textured fields.

    The textured fields is a result of a Worn Die as I stated in my post and Die Deterioration.

    Yes my bad, I mix die deterioration and planchet damage up. Planchet damage is more on the obverse, die deterioration on reverse.

    Maybe the "planchet damage" is die damage.
