He does have sort of an odd face though. It's kind of like looking at an SR-71. Viewed from different vantage points, the airplane is very hard to describe (and it's also invisible to radar). Nixon wasn't blessed with a handsome countenance. His face has sharp aspects and pointy parts, etc. I have a feeling that making his engraving would be a real challenge for an artist. The Presidential coin doesn't do a great job of presenting a life-like image of him. John Kennedy was blessed with good looks and look what they gave us for his coin. He looks like he's in mourning. I think the Mint has become a high priced coin store and doesn't put as much effort in to these projects as they once did. We've become just as ridiculous as the Royal Canadian Mint, with way too many products flooding the market, and priced way too high. All my interests can be served with the yearly purchase of the Mint and/or proof sets. Occasionally I'll see a Silver Commemorative Dollar that speaks to me, but that's about it.
