The date along with the other peripheral lettering on these quarters are incuse. Die doubling of an incuse design would actually reduce the size of the device. What you have is a very cool looking machine doubled coin . Cool but of no appreciable added value

That's a nice example. Strong DDOs are much rarer for Washington quarters. The mint seems to care more about the obverse than the reverse.
