Will they continue to mint the cent in 2016? I am out of the loop and would like to know, especially since I am buying bank boxes of 2015's. The new year is right around the corner. When I google 2016 cent there is no talk about them.

Yes, the cent is alive and well in the USA. Along with the paper dollar. Sad

Spell check - I don't know - Ide rather sock my wallet full of paper dollars as compared to a pocket full of metal dollars. The US mint already tried numerous ways to introduce a stamped metal dollar coin into our society but none of them ever worked - ALWAYS paper dollar bill fits the wallet!!

Yea, the Crane & Co. lobby, along with the vending lobby will never let us have our $1 coins circulate and eliminate the paper dollar.

Curious...when was the last time any of y'all ever saw a vending machine that accepts pennies? Besides one of those elongated penny machines?

Why on earth would you buy bank boxes of 2015 cents? They are each worth (surprise) one cent -- and they are heavy as heck when hoarded by the box.

Yep, and they also require two quarters.

Sad thing about that is I'm now old enough to remember when all you needed was the cent. I've also seen a few that take four quarters plus penny.

I manage an old arcade every now and then for venues. Most pinball machines say a quarter or 5 credits for a SBA.....to bad they are all set on free play.
