A lot will probably be an understatement for that. They should have used the version with "Liberty" in it if they wanted to differentiate it better. Fort Moultrie wasn't a bad choice to be on a quarter but they gooned that design
I'm fine with Fort Moultrie but I'm not sure I understand how the guy is standing on one foot and leaning over in that awkward way. Is he running? Or just thinking to himself "must...fit...on...this...coin..."?
I'm in for the Roosevelt design. And if there's ceremony near the Park, I might go -- especially if they're selling mint-fresh quarter rolls at face value.
Can someone explain the difference between the business and proof strikes (or is it business and circulation strikes ?) and why one can't get MS-70 scores and the other can ?
Basically the difference is how they are made. The proofs have the mirror fields and are supposed to be made with much better care while the business/circulation strikes don't have the mirror look to them and are pumped out in mass quantity. A portion of the business/circulation can be proof like but they aren't proofs. The MS PR/PF grade refers to how they are made. The business/circulation will always have be on the MS grade scale while the proofs will always be on the PR/PF grade scale even if they circulate.
